Canon printers are popular for both document and photo printing. Here’s how you can set one up:
Step 1: Unbox and Prepare

Remove all protective tapes and packing materials.

Place the printer close to your computer or Wi-Fi router.
Step 2: Install Ink/Toner and Paper

Open the cartridge door and insert Canon ink/toner cartridges carefully.

Load plain paper into the tray.
Step 3: Connect the Printer

Power on the printer.

For Wi-Fi setup, press the Wireless Button on your printer until the Wi-Fi light flashes.

On your router, press the WPS button (if supported) to connect automatically.

If not, use the printer control panel → Wireless LAN Setup → Standard Setup and select your Wi-Fi.
Step 4: Install Canon Software

Download drivers and setup software from ij.start.canon.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Step 5: Test Printing

Print a sample page or photo to confirm successful setup.
